What this service is

Trading Card Value Checker is an independent calculator: arithmetic, published free, over prices you supply. Three calculators work out a usable figure from completed sale prices you supply, the cost of a grading submission from the fees and postage you supply, and the net effect of grading from the prices you supply. It sells nothing, holds no price data, publishes no card's value, no book value and no price guide of its own, grades nothing, authenticates nothing, buys nothing and appraises nothing. It is not an appraisal, and nothing on it is advice about what to buy, sell, grade or insure.

How we are paid

How we are paid: we are not. There is nothing on this site to buy, no subscription, no advertising, no sponsored placement and no affiliate link, and we make no money from anything you do with these calculators or from any grader, auction house, marketplace, card shop or breaker. Nobody can pay to be named, to be ranked or to change what a calculator returns, because there is nowhere for a payment to land.

The calculators and their arithmetic

Every calculator prints its own arithmetic on the page, line by line, so that any answer can be checked by hand. The method is ordinary and is set out in the sources on each page. You may quote the worked examples with attribution; they are arithmetic, not data, and they describe nothing about any real card.

No warranty

The arithmetic is published in good faith and every step of it is shown so that it can be checked. It is supplied as it is. What a card is worth is decided by what somebody pays for it on the day, which no calculator can know; the figures here are only as good as the completed sales you put into them, and choosing the wrong comparables is the mistake this site cannot catch for you.
